Breakfast-lovers in La Jolla are in for a treat this spring - Richard Walker’s Pancake House, the family-owned, award-winning restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, is announcing the official opening of its second San Diego location. Owned and operated by Richard Walker Jr., Richard Walker’s Pancake House is now serving its nationally acclaimed dishes to its hungry local and visiting fan base at 909 Prospect Street in the La Jolla Village.
Walker Jr. is passionate about the restaurant opening and adding to the family’s rich restaurant legacy. The Walker family has been in the restaurant business for over 50 years, with Walker Sr. opening his flagship California location in 2006 in the heart of Downtown San Diego.
“La Jolla was a natural fit for the second San Diego location,” says Walker Jr. “We had been scoping out locations there for a long time. We’re looking forward to serving our seasoned breakfast-goers that not only understand what a good breakfast should taste like and feel like, but what a beautiful restaurant experience should look like.”
The new restaurant will offer the same menu items as the downtown location including signature breakfast dishes such as the apple pancake, German pancake, strawberry crepes and Santa Fe omelette. Incorporating an elegant and refined décor, the casual La Jolla space seats 100 in its 2,500 square-foot space at the base of Prospect Street. The restaurant also features a covered outside patio with another 40 seats.
Committed to using the finest and freshest ingredients, Richard Walker’s Pancake House features monthly specials to highlight seasonal dishes.
