Grant Grill Hosting "Beetlejuice"-Inspired All Hallows Eve Dinner At U.S. Grant Hotel In Downtown San Diego

San Diego's Grant Grill, located in the historic U.S. Grant Hotel, is set to host a "Beetlejuice"-inspired All Hallows Eve dinner on Halloween night.

On Thursday, October 31, the Grant Grill restaurant will be the setting for an exclusive, 13-course meal immersing guests in a whimsical and spooky dining experience inspired by the iconic character from Tim Burton's Beetlejuice film and the newly released sequel. With only 13 seats available, the event is sure to be an intimate and theatrical celebration of Halloween.

Priced at $666 for two guests or $333 for one, the meal is designed by Executive Chef Mark Kropczynski and features inventive dishes like Octopus "The Sand Worm" Two Ways, both smoked and fried. Mixologist Rex Yuasa has also created themed cocktails, including "Betelgeuse, The Bio-Exorcist," a haunting twist on whiskey and cola. Costumes are encouraged, with guests invited to channel their favorite characters from the movie.

The U.S. Grant Hotel, where the Grant Grill resides, is a landmark in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. Built in 1910 by Ulysses S. Grant Jr., son of the 18th U.S. president, it has long been a symbol of luxury and history in the city. In addition to its rich past, the hotel is said to have a haunted reputation. Guests and staff have reported sightings of a ghostly woman in a long dress walking the halls, thought to be the spirit of a former guest. The hotel's eerie atmosphere, especially around Halloween, adds to the allure of this exclusive dining experience.
