Located directly on the Mission Beach boardwalk, the highly anticipated
Draft is expected to 'soft' open TODAY, and we couldn't be more excited. This beer-centric bar and restaurant will serve up 69 beers on tap and 30+ bottles, pairing the surf and sand with a wide variety of crafts, from San Diego and beyond. But the appeal doesn’t stop at brews and views - come hungry and experience a fresh take on beachside dining featuring casual, handcrafted fare from Executive Chef Brad Wise. We've had a first look at the menu, so read on and get ready!
Draft sits on the ground floor at 3105 Ocean Front Walk, directly south of WaveHouse, and below Cannonball, which is still under construction. Designed by Mauricio Couturier and Hollis Brand Culture, a laidback aesthetic reigns, but hightech details including a huge video projector screen, set Draft apart. In addition to its
60+ taps and casks, Draft will encourage a communal tasting approach with an extensive large format “bottle share” beer program designed to inspire exploration, experimentation and enjoyment with likeminded people. There will also be a
classic cocktail and wine list.

Chef Brad Wise (executive chef of all of Belmont and former sous at JRDN) has designed an
all-day menu, which includes swoonworthy share plates, such as pork belly corndogs with truffled mustard (see below); inventive “handhelds,” such as the pistachio crusted salmon sandwich; and tavern classics, such as BBQ baby back ribs. Draft will also offer a weekly
brunch menu, with such dishes as chilaquiles verde, a carnitas burrito, a French toast BLT (see below) and more.
The initial happy hour for Draft has already been announced and will take place Monday-Friday from 4-6pm and include $4 Stone, Saint Archer, Modern Times & Coronado Brewing, $5 wells and $4 select red & white wines.
