Don't miss an elegant night out on the waterfront, all to help support Blues Lovers United San Diego and Slow Food Urban San Diego. The 3rd Annual Loving Local Music and Local Food event returns to Driscoll's Wharf on Sunday, August 10 from 3-7:30pm, where participants can enjoy a beautiful harborside view, listen to the swinging music of the Whitney Shay Quartet, and the blues and cajun sounds of the Bayou Brothers with Michele Lundeen, all while noshing on a 4 course dinner prepared by some of San Diego's top chefs. Celebrity hosts include the Casbah’s Tim Mays, critic George Varga, DJ Jim McInnes, San Diego Magazine's resident foodie Troy Johnson and more.
The Loving Local Music & Local Food event is separated into two parts with three different ticket options for a limited number of attendees. There will be 40 cocktail party tickets ($40), taking place from 3:30 - 5pm where guests can enjoy cocktails, appetizers and music! 64 VIP tickets ($165) are being offered, taking place from 3 - 7:30pm and offering ticket holders valet parking, a welcome cocktail, VIP Seating, a VIP only cheese station, access to the 4 course dinner portion with seating with one of the VIP hosts and a special thank you gift. 80 General Dinner tickets ($100) are also available, which give attendees access from 3:30 - 7:30pm, as well as a welcome cocktail, two drink tickets, appetizers from Romesco’s and Carnitas Snack Shack, and the 4-course dinner with wine pairings.
The four-course dinner features locally grown foods prepared by some of San Diego’s top chefs. Participants will also get a chance to bid on special packages during a silent auction like a Bonnie Raitt Signed Electric Guitar and much more. The first and second year of this event sold out, so don’t delay in getting your tickets.
