The five course ’Tailored Fit’ wine pairing menu on March 11 is $85 per person and reservations are required due to the limited seating. Guests can call the restaurant directly at (619) 233-7327 to reserve their spot. The menu includes the following:
Amuse: hiramasa with lardo + petite fennel salad + pomegranate seeds + juice paired with 2013 Sonoma Mountain Pinot Grigio
First Course: Santa Barbara spot prawns + local uni + pea tartar + Calabrian chiles paired with 2012 Swanson Vineyards Napa Valley Chardonnay
Second Course: Foie gras + huckleberries + huckleberry gastrique, pop rocks, and brioche paired with 2011 Napa Valley CYGNET Merlot
Third Course: Duck and Eel terrine + mole negro + duck chicharon + and cilantro paired with 2011 Swanson "Alexis" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Fourth Course: Chocolate tart + dark chocolate ganache +cocoa nib + cassis paired with 2010 Instant Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
The monthly Tailored Fit wine series at Searsucker San Diego will be held the first week of each month. The next events are scheduled for Monday, April 6 with Laird Family Estate of Napa Valley with the following event on Wednesday, May 6 with Sparkman Cellars of Washington.
