Chefs Team Up For SD Taco Trade At Puesto | Thursday, May 14

Puesto is hosting their second annual taco collaboration dubbed, SD Taco Trade, featuring three of San Diego’s most beloved eateries. All day, only on Thursday, May 14, Puesto will feature three special limited quantity tacos from Azuki Sushi, Nine-Ten and Tender Greens, created by the restaurants’ chefs featuring ingredients found on their menus, wrapped in Puesto’s house-made tortillas with a twist.

Shihomi Borillo of Azuki Sushi created a Tempura Miso Cod Taco with saikyo sweet miso aioli, meyer lemon pickled red cabbage, kumquat, micro shiso on a bamboo charcoal tortilla. Jason Knibb of Nine-Ten made a Cochinita Pibil Taco with grilled pineapple, radish, pickled onion, serrano, cotija cheese on a coriander orange tortilla. Todd Renner of Tender Greens is offering a Spring Lamb Taco with lamb braised in sheep yogurt, lamb bacon, fava bean, charred onion, green garlic, preserved lemon, micro spring onion, wheat grass on a mint-lemon tortilla. A plate featuring all three tacos will be available at both Puesto locations for $16.
