America’s Finest City will once again become the epicenter of the California wine world as the fourth annual VinDiego Wine & Food Festival takes over NTC Liberty Station in Point Loma on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2. Wine and food enthusiasts can savor more than 300 unique tastes of unlimited award-winning wine from over 75 wineries and delectable food and appetizers from more than 20 of San Diego’s finest restaurants while enjoying live music and an upbeat atmosphere. “VinDiego is now in it’s fourth year and we have selected only the best wineries and restaurants to team up this April,” said David Fraschetti, executive producer of VinDiego Wine & Food Festival. “We created this event to bring together those who want to enjoy award-winning wine, delicious food, live music and tons of fun in a high-class environment.”
The VinDiego Special “A Passion for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and More” event takes place Friday, April 1, from 6-8:30pm at the Courtyard Marriott Ball Room in Liberty Station. Guests will get a chance to taste samples from winemaking pioneers, up-and-coming hipster producers, and everything in between. This intimate sunset gathering of world class Pinot and Chardonnay producers will be a true taste treat not to miss where guest will get the opportunity to meet some of the faces behind the labels and discover the stunning Pinot Noir and Reserve Chardonnay’s of Sonoma, Napa, Paso Robles, Monterey County, Santa Barbara and Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Tickets are limited to 500 guests at the cost of $85 per person.
The VinDiego Grand Tasting will be held on Saturday, April 2, from 4-7pm (3pm for VIP) at the outdoor NTC Promenade in Liberty Station, located at 2640 Historic Decatur Road. More than 75 wineries will provide in excess of 300 unique tastes of unlimited wine alongside some of San Diego’s finest restaurants. The festival will feature elite wineries from California and Oregon as well as exclusive Paso Robles CAB Collective Member wineries. This elite group of 18 top-tier wineries from the Paso Robles area is known for making high-quality Cabernet and Bordeaux blend wines. Grand Tasting tickets are $105 each and provide access to all wineries and restaurants. General admission access begins at 4pm. VIP admission includes a 3pm entry and access to the VIP tent. VIP tickets are $135 each and are limited to 300 passes.
