Ironside Fish & Oyster To Host 3rd Annual Charity Shuck-A-Thon On August 2 | Female Competitors To Serve $1 Oysters All Night To Benefit Local Non-Profits

July 20, 2016

Want to find out who is the baddest female mother-shucker in SoCal? On Tuesday, August 2, from 3-10pm, eight fierce female competitors will each take a turn behind Ironside Fish & Oyster's raw bar to shuck as many oysters as they can in one hour, with every oyster sold during that hour to be donated to each shucker's chosen charity. Ironside will be offering the buck-a-shuck special all night long with 100% of the proceeds from every purchase of a $1 signature Ironside Select Oyster going straight to charity.

The roster of participating shuckers for Ironside's 3rd annual charity event include Alicen Reynolds (3-4pm for Pet Project Foundation), Julie Hosler & Maribel Hernandez (4-5pm for San Diego Humane Society), Abbey Gibb (5-6pm for Future Legends), Candice Woo (6-7pm for San Diego Food System Alliance), Sarah Boldwala-Mesina (7-8pm for Food2Soil), Chef Christina Rivera (8-9pm for ECOLIFE Conservation), and Kari Young (9-10pm for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation).

Ironside's Charity Shuck-A-Thon is a free-to-attend event, open to the public, and walk-ins are welcome. Ironside Fish & Oyster is located at 1654 India Street in Little Italy. For more information, visit ironsidefishandoyster.com.
