Nomad Donuts To Expand To Second Location To Include Wood-Fired Bagels

August 2, 2016

Nomad Donuts will open a second location at 3102 University Avenue in North Park at the former Lady of the Lake bookstore that will add an expanded menu featuring wood-fired bagels, beer and wine in addition to globally inspired donut creations and locally sourced coffee concoctions.

Donuts seem to be all the rage in San Diego at the moment and Nomad Donuts is eager to continue to satisfy cravings. Owned by Brad Keiller with a kitchen helmed by Executive Pastry Chef Kristianna Zabala - who previously served as the Executive Pastry Chef at Mister A’s, Petco Park and the Michelin starred The Village Pub in Woodside, California - Nomad will add wood-fired bagels, breakfast & lunch sandwiches, and a variety of baked goods and desserts to the offerings at the 3,300 square foot new location. The new outpost will also offer craft beers and wine, and will have a chef's counter where Chef Zabala can find new ways to showcase her creativity.

Nomad Donuts offers locally and globally-inspired flavors, including gluten free and vegan options, that change every day and often use ingredients from local farmers’ markets, including Ube Taro Coconut, Charred Blueberry Cream Cheese, Chocolate Salted Caramel with Toasted Almonds, White Chocolate Mint with Passion Fruit Jalapeno Drizzle and many more.

Nomad Donuts new location is anticipated to open by Spring 2017. In the meantime, visit the original Nomad Donuts at 4504 30th Street. For more information, call 619.431.5000 and visit NomadDonuts.com.
