Modern Times Beer has announced that it will open The Far West Lounge tasting room in Encinitas in 2017, offering 32 taps of beers brewed at the San Diego-based brewery's Lomaland Fermentorium, as well as beers brewed at the Los Angeles and Anaheim facilities that are currently under construction.
"After an exceedingly long and exhaustive quest for the perfect location, we are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have located a suitably rad spot for a North County tasting room," Modern Times announced on its social media.
Located at 470 S. Highway 101 on the north side of downtown Encinitas, Modern Times new tasting room, dubbed "The Far West Lounge", will seat around 150 patrons and include a horseshoe shaped bar, cozy booths, lounging steps, and an indoor fire-pit, as well as MT's usual psychedelic design and art installations similar to its other San Diego locations (Point Loma & North Park). In addition to the 32 taps for onsite enjoyment, the space will offer merchandise, coffee bags and cans, beer to-go, and pre-purchase pick-ups.
