Chula Vista's Sleep Train Amphitheatre Now Called "Mattress Firm Amphitheatre"

February 15, 2017

The former-Sleep Train Amphitheatre, San Diego's largest outdoor concert venue, is now named Mattress Firm Amphitheatre, as weird as that sounds.

Owned and operated by Live Nation, the 20,000 capacity venue at 2050 Entertainment Circle in Chula Vista has changed its name in conjunction with Mattress Firm's 2014 $425 million acquisition of Sleep Train Mattress. The more than 300 retail Sleep Train locations will also be rebranded.

This is the fourth name change for the venue, which opened in 1998 as Coors Amphitheatre, before becoming Crick Wireless Amphitheatre in 2008 and, most recently, Sleep Train Amphitheatre in 2013.
