Arizona-based, fast-casual food and juice restaurant Grabbagreen is in the process of an expansion that will bring more than 90 locations to Southern California, including the first San Diego outpost, which will open at 222 Broadway in downtown's financial district as early as this summer.
Teaming up with Conehead Investments Inc., Grabbagreen recently signed a 95 multiunit franchise and development agreement that will bring 80 Grabbagreen stores to Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties over the next several years, with an additional 15 stores to be developed in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. While the company is still actively looking for additional sites, they have already secured the location on Broadway in downtown San Diego for an anticipated July 10 opening, with more San Diego locations in the works.
Founded in 2013 by young entrepreneur Keely Newman, Grabbagreen opened its first location in Scottsdale, Arizona, and quickly became a local sensation due to its menu of healthy, fresh-made, preservative free, naturally gluten free, GMO free, and semi-organic food options. Grabbagreen offers a full selection of grain and green-based bowls with fresh hormone-free and antibiotic-free proteins provided by local farms, fresh-pressed juices, handcrafted smoothies and acai bowls, breakfast, wraps, and healthy kid-friendly items. All signature menu items are prepared fresh, made-to-order to meet dietary needs.
