Owners of North Park's The Air Conditioned Lounge have opened a new outdoor event space. Glampishere offers a retro-modern environment featuring an elevated bar, waterfall, firepits, multiple flat screen televisions, technology friendly communal tables, high speed WiFi, and outdoor presenters that make it the ideal destination for a business meeting, work retreat or private event.
The Air Conditioned Lounge owner Gary John Collins had a large space behind his 14 year-old North Park cocktail bar that fell into a state of disarray. As an owner and president of an events and business relationship company, Collins had firsthand knowledge of the need for private event space for business presentations and networking gatherings, so he outfitted The Air Conditioned Lounge's back area to be a "glamping" style outdoor oasis. Located under the shelter of sail shades, Glampisphere is a modern space infused with retro style, offering two 4k UHD 55" outdoor flat screens, wireless microphones plug 'n play technology, USB and HDMI inputs, four outdoor speakers tuned for presenters, a QSC amplifier for crystal-clear sound, power outlets at every table, high speed WiFi, two firepits and a flowing stone waterfall. Meant to contrast the outdated confines of hotel banquet rooms, The Glampisphere has been constructed with business presentations and discussions in mind.
