The Patio Group To Open Its First Restaurant In San Diego's North County | The Patio On 101 To Open In Encinitas

April 30, 2018

San Diego's The Patio Group is continuing to expand in 2018. Moving into the 7,000 square-foot space that currently houses the four-concept-one-roof Open House Food + Drink, which opened less than a year ago, is The Patio On 101.

Last May, Wade & Heidi Hagemen, who also own Encinitas' Blue Ribbon Pizza and Craftsman Tavern, opened Open House Food + Drink, a multi-concept restaurant with four separate eateries housed under one roof. The business turned out to be a bit too ambitious, so the Hageman's have decided to sell the prime indoor/outdoor space.

The Patio Group will soon begin minor construction to turn the building at 345 S Coast Hwy 101 into The Patio On 101, an expansion of the company's modern California concept that started with Pacific Beach's The Patio on Lamont in 2012 and expanded into Mission Hills with The Patio on Goldfinch in 2014.  In addition to a menu of American staples and comfort foods, The Patio on 101 will also offer a lineup of bao buns from its Bao Beach concept, which is currently expanding with a second location installing in Mission Hills. There will also be two full bars within the space. The Patio Group is also working on expanding its Surf Rider Pizza Cafe concept, with outposts currently in development for Crown Point and La Mesa.

The Patio on 101 is anticipated to open as early as mid-June. For more information on The Patio Group, visit americannationalinvestments.com/divisions/the-patio-group.
