Three-year-old San Diego South Bay brewery, Novo Brazil has announced that it will open a 12,000 square foot brewpub and restaurant only a couple miles from its original location.
Heading into the Otay Ranch Town Center in Chula Vista is a brand new brewery, tasting room and restaurant from Novo Brazil Brewing, taking the space previously occupied by Anthropologie for a $2.5 million project that will include a an approximately 300 seat eatery, event space, an indoor-outdoor beer garden facing the mall's main street, a 10-Barrel Brewing System and a full bar offering Novo's own proprietary beers, guest taps, wine and cocktails. The Otay Ranch Town Center location will complement the brewery's existing tasting room and brew facilities also located in the Eastlake area of Chula Vista
Founded by Eduardo Pentagna, Novo Brazil debuted in 2015 and have been enthusiastically searching for a site to expand its operation. The new outpost will allow the company to produce specialty beers such as sour and barrel-aged variations, along with testing new concepts. A small on-site retail section will also offer Brazilian products such as coffee for purchase.
Earlier this year, the Brewers Association named Novo Brazil as the eighth-fastest growing brewing company in the USA. The company's second location is expected to open by early 2019. For more information, visit novobrazilbrewing.com.

"We wanted to be able to host our neighbors here in Eastlake with an authentic Brazilian dining experience, great beers, live entertainment, and bold, welcoming architecture reminiscent of Brazil’s most famous landmarks, all while being family and dog-friendly," said Pentagna. "My family and I live here, and I knew there was a huge opportunity to build a space at Otay Ranch Town Center to fill a gap in the market."
