With more than 500 outposts already in operation, Taiwanese dessert chain Meet Fresh will open its first San Diego location in Mira Mesa as early as mid-December, offering interesting dessert options made with healthy ingredients.
Founded in Taichung, Taiwain in 2007, Meet Fresh now has more than 500 stores with most branches sited in Taiwan and Australia, although more U.S. branches are in development. The San Diego location will be on Mira Mesa Boulevard in the shopping center that also houses H Mart Korean market.
Meet Fresh offers a menu centered around traditional Taiwanese desserts and tea drinks. Expect dessert bowls that mix healthy ingredients like fresh fruit with gelatinous and creamy concoctious made from the likes of taro, red bean, sweet potato, melon, peanuts, mung beans, herbal grass and more. There will also be tofu pudding, purple rice porridge, shaved ice, red bean soup, as well as tea and milk tea drinks with taro/boba balls.
