Beefsteak is an all-you-can-eat, no-utensils, beer-and-beef smorgasbord that originated in Manhattan in the mid-1800s. The working class dining event is similar to regional feasts like the fish fry, clambake, and barbeque. Chef's Roll held its inaugural Beefsteak event last January and will replicate this family-style feast later this month for a limited number of attendees. Partipating chefs include Phil Esteban of Craft & Commerce, Top Chef alum Giselle Wellman, James Montejano of Huntress Steakhouse, Aaron Obregon of the Coronado Island Marriott, Chris Spayde of the Island Palms Hotel & Marina, Eric Manuel of the Dana Resort, and Billy Joyce of Surfside Cuisine. The beer will also flow like water courtesy of 10 Barrel Brewing Company.
Tickets to Beefsteak are available online for $100 per person with all proceeds going to No Kid Hungry through Chefs Cycle. Check out the video below from the inaugural Beefsteak.
