Now open in the 2,000 square foot space that last housed the short-lived Lil' Farmers Cafe on the corner of Garnet & Cass Streets in San Diego's Pacific Beach is the flagship location of Country Boy Fried Chicken, a fast-casual eatery with a menu centered around chicken fingers.
From owner Sean Fitzhugh, who previously operated a similar concept as Twins Chicken in the Seattle area of Washington, Country Boy Fried Chicken offers a concise menu centered around twice-fried chicken tenders available in original & spicy styles and served in combo platters with homemade rolls, crinkle-cut fries and a spicy sauce. Fitzhugh hopes his concept will grow to become a global franchise similar to Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, which launched its first location in San Diego earlier this year and is in the process of launching a second area outpost at 8223 Mira Mesa Boulevard in Mira Mesa.
