Team Behind Kettner Exchange & The Grass Skirt To Open Waverly Restaurant In San Diego's North County

September 6, 2019

The team behind such San Diego hotspots as Kettner Exchange and The Grass Skirt is expanding into San Diego's North County with the opening of Waverly Restaurant & Lounge, an all-day bar and dining destination opening next year.

Matt Spencer's SDCM restaurant group - which is behind local concepts Kettner Exchange, Devil's Dozen Donuts, Firehouse, The Grass Skirt, Good Time Poke, and Vin De Syrah - has taken over the nearly 3,000 square-foot Cardiff space that has housed Rimel's Rotisserie for more than a decade and is opening a new dining and drinking concept. Waverly will be an all-day restaurant with a globally-inspired menu from SDCM's Corporate Executive Chef Brian Redzikowski. The eatery will receive a coastal-themed design by Leucadia-based Design 4 Corners and is expected to open at some point in first quarter 2020.

Waverly Restaurant & Lounge will sit at 2005 San Elijo Avenue in San Diego's North County neighborhood of Cardiff. For more information about SDCM, visit sdcm.com.
