Carlsbad's 3-year-old Burgeon Beer Co. has announced plans for a 2,000+ square-foot tasting room and restaurant to open in San Diego's Little Italy by year's end.
Opening on the base floor of the new Savina by Bosa luxury condominium development on Kettner & Ash in Little Italy, Burgeon Beer's new project is dubbed 'The Arbor' and will be designed with reclaimed California fire-damaged wood and green accents to capture the company's nature motif. There will be roll-up garage doors, 17' ceilings, and a 400 square-foot outdoor patio. The new tasting room will offer Burgeon's various beers as well as local and California wines, plus a full menu from Miramar-based The Good Seed Food Co., a roving food purveyor started by Chef Jesus "Chuy" de la Torres and his wife Kadi in 2017. Expect a menu of sandwiches, tacos, burgers, wings, as well as vegan and vegetarian selections.
"After years of searching for the perfect location, we are ecstatic to branch out across our home city to open a second tasting room, called 'The Arbor,' in Little Italy," exclaimed Burgeon founder Matt Zirpolo in a social media post. "Equipped with a full kitchen, we are cultivating a unique craft beer experience at The Arbor. Complete with a locally-sourced and thoughtfully designed menu curated in partnership with Chef Chuy of The Good Seed Food Company."
Burgeon Beer Co.'s The Arbor will open at 1326 Kettner Boulevard as early as this summer. For more information, visit burgeonbeer.com.
