Opening this weekend in the 2,800 square-foot space that last housed Promiscuous Fork in San Diego's Crown Point area is the second location of Wokou Ramen & Yakitori, a Japanese bar and eatery that first launched in Carmel Valley.
From Express Capital Investments founders Joey Pena and James Langley, Wokou Ramen & Yakitori's is a Japanese fusion concept that first opened in June 2017 within the Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch in Carmel Valley. The company also operates Madero's Mexican Tequila Bar in the same plaza. The second location of Wokou will open this Saturday, February 1, with an extensive menu of Japanese specialties like sushi rolls, ramen noodle soups, bao buns, salads, noodle plates, rice bowls, and a variety of yakitori-grilled skewers including chicken hearts, octopus, skirt steak and more. The space has been redesigned with a traditional yakitori grill installed facing the street. Like the flagship Carmel Valley branch, local artist España Garcia decorated the interior dining room with a signature wall illustrations to compliment Mike Dunn’s metalwork features. The eatery will offer both indoor and outdoor patio seating, and a bar program with craft beer, wine, sake and soju cocktails.
Wokou Ramen & Yakitori Pacific Beach is located at 3801 Ingraham Street in Crown Point. For more information, visit wokouramen.com and check out the menu below.
