Serrano's Street Tacos & Bar, which opened its first stateside location in downtown San Diego in 2016, will launch its second area outpost in the space that last housed Famous Mexican Village in Coronado.
The Serrano family history opened their first restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in 1975 with a second eatery launched in the same city in 2013. In September 2016, Oscar Serrano opened Serrano’s Street Tacos & Bar in downtown San Diego with a menu of classic Mexican comfort foods and a full bar. The popular eatery will replicate in downtown Coronado as early as next month, taking over the space previously occupied by the revival of Famous Mexican Village Cocina y Cantina.
Like the downtown San Diego branch, Serrano's Coronado will offer a lengthy menu of Mexican dishes including a large variety of appetizers, tacos, burritos, aguachiles, soups, salads, enchiladas, quesadillas, and fajitas, as well as a few sides and desserts. The restaurant will also offer a full bar with cocktails, wine, beer, and soft drinks.
Serrano's Street Tacos & Bar is expected to open in late July at 126 Orange Avenue in downtown Coronado. For more information, visit serranostacossd.com.
