The team behind San Diego's Mastiff Sausage Company is gearing up for the launch of Fluster Cluck, a Nashville-style hot fried chicken eatery opening this summer.
Escondido natives and longtime friends Jacob Bartlett and Chef Eric Gallerstein founded Mastiff Sausage Company in 2013 as a San Diego food truck and caterer specializing in handmade craft sausages. In 2015, the duo opened Mastiff Kitchen inside Liberty Public Market in Point Loma and the following year opened a second location inside North Park Beer. They also operate The Pig’s Gig BBQ inside the public market.

Next month, the Mastiff crew will expand their culinary prowess to the popular Nashville hot chicken sphere with the launch of Fluster Cluck Hot Chicken. Taking over the space previously occupied by Liberty Chik inside Liberty Public Market, the new eatery will offer natural, hormone free fried chicken tenders at various spice levels, served by the piece, in combos and in slider form. There will also be other menu items like chicken and waffles and chopped chicken salad, as well as a list of sides like slaw and cheese fries.
Fluster Cluck will open this July at 2820 Historic Decatur Road within Liberty Public Market in San Diego's Liberty Station. For more information, visit bluebridgehospitality.com/libertypublicmarket.
