After opening its first location in Miramar this past March, Boss Bird Kitchen has already secured a space to open its second San Diego restaurant, taking over the 2,250 square-foot building that last housed Fourpenny House in La Mesa.
This past March, Scott Chiv partnered up with former Blue Boheme chef Diego Lopez to open their first Boss Bird Kitchen in the Miramar Road space that previously housed Chef DJ Tangalin's short-lived Gaya Gaya. The fast-casual fried chicken eatery will soon replicate in the heart of San Diego's La Mesa neighborhood, taking over the former Fourpenny House space. Like the original outpost, the restaurant will serve a menu centered around fried chicken, including sandwiches, tenders, wings of various spice levels. The eatery will also serve sides like fries, biscuits, mac salad, and mashed potatoes, as well as cookies, soft drinks and plenty of draft beer.
The second Boss Bird Kitchen aims to open by year's end at 8323 La Mesa Boulevard in La Mesa Village. For more information, visit bossbirdkitchen.com.
