Pacific Beach Ice Cream Company To Bring Handmade Desserts To San Diego

September 3, 2021

Pacific Beach Ice Cream Company is opening soon in San Diego's central oceanfront community, offering ice cream, Italian ice and frozen vegan treats, all handmade on premises using family recipes.

David Wright's parents have operated an award-winning scoop shop called Treats in Nevada City, CA, for most of his life. He learned a lot working at his family store but further honed his craft attending and graduating from the Scoop School in St Louis, MO. When the chan arose to bring his family recipes to San Diego's Pacific Beach neighborhood, he jumped at the chance and took over a space previously occupied by a hair salon on the corner of Grand Avenue and Cass Street.

Pacific Beach Ice Cream Company is anticipated to grand open later this month. The dessert shop will offer a menu with premium ice cream flavors like Dad's famous real mint chip, saffron rose pistachio, bourbon breakfast, spicy mango Italian ice, and vegan flavors like spiced Chai tea and pumpkin spice. There will also be unique seasonal varieties made with local and organic ingredients like stout beer, basil and bay leaf and Candy Cap mushroom. Customers will be able to get their frozen treats in a cup, on a fresh made waffle cone, in a Sundae, or as a milkshake.

Pacific Beach Ice Cream Company is expected to open mid-September at 1010 Grand Avenue in San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, visit pacificbeachicecreamco.com.
