Sunmerry Bakery was founded in Taiwan in 1986 and now has more than 30 locations dotted around Taipei, New York, New Jersey and California. Sunmerry offers a huge menu of sweet and savory pastries, cakes, mochi donuts, and breads, as well as a lineup of Happy Lemon boba teas and bubble waffles.
The first San Diego location of Sunmerry Bakery will open in Spring 2022 within the Village at Mira Mesa shopping center, with a second outpost expected to open near Costco Business Center on Convoy Street in Kearny Mesa later in the year. Expect the bakeries to sell an expansive array of baked goods and hot and cold drinks, including popular items like the Taro Milk Cake, BBQ Pork Chashu Bolo bun, Super Garlic bread, the Boba Egg Tart, and the Nutella Cookie Bun.
