Vietnames Deli Cali Banh Mi Opens In San Diego's Point Loma

December 10, 2021

Vietnamese fast-casual eatery Cali Banh Mi has opened a branch in the Midway District of Point Loma.

Cali Banh Mi is a Vietnamese eatery and deli market founded in 2011 as Cali Baguette on Convoy Street in Kearny Mesa by Mitchell Nishimura and Kieu Phung. The casual restaurant serves a wide array of Vietnamese dishes, including a large variety of spring rolls, egg rolls, soups, banh mi sandwiches, jam packed meat & veggie bowls, entree-portioned rice plates, acai bowls, smoothies, boba teas, coffee and more. The second branch of Cali Banh Mi opened in late 2018 right off the I-5 Freeway as you enter Pacific Beach.

The new Cali Banh Mi location has installed in the space that long housed Embargo Grill (subsequently rebranded into Little Cay) within the Midway Towne Center in Point Loma. Like the other two outposts, the eatery offers a Vietnames fast-casual menu, as well as items to-go from an onsite retail market and a menu of wine & beer.

Cali Banh Mi is now open at 3960 West Point Loma Boulevard, Suite O, in San Diego's Midway District. For more information, visit calibanhmi.com.
