Opening this week in San Diego's North County is Beer Town, a taproom, bottle shop and all-day restaurant focused on craft beer.
Founder Ryan Hood originally planned on opening Beer Town as a brewery in either Los Angeles or the Bay Area, but when the pandemic hit, he decided to repurpose the concept as a beer hall and bottle shop. Hood eventually found the ideal location in the 2,550 square-foot building that previously housed Eve vegan restaurant in San Diego's North County city of Oceanside.
Beer Town will offer a full taproom and bottle shop component specializing in under-represented beers from outside the San Diego area. Open daily for lunch and on weekends for brunch, the onsite restaurant will be a kid and family friendly space where people can enjoy a fresh beer, wine, mimosas, seltzer, and an eclectic array of food options. The menu includes salads, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, desserts, and entrees like fish & chips and smoked brisket.
Beer Town will open on Saturday, March 12, at 507 North Coast Highway in Oceanside. For more information, visit beertown.us.
