The Original Sab-E-Lee was first founded in 2008 in San Diego's Linda Vista neighborhood and quickly became a destination for its menu of authentic Thai dishes. In 2015, the restaurant moved to Linda Vista Shopping Mall plaza and the previous outpost was rebranded to become a new concept dubbed Thai Papaya, which closed amidst the pandemic.
The Original Sab-E-Lee's Linda Vista location has been sold to Tanogkiat Jinatongthai, Pajarawadee Sarthongpim and Pimpun Charoensrichai, who operate Di-Chan Thai Food restaurant in Clairemont. The new owners will operate the restaurant as-is until they open a new Thai restaurant called Zab Linda. The Original Sab-E-Lee location in Rancho Penasquitos Towne Center will remain in operation under original ownership.
Zab Linda is expected to open by this fall at 6925 Linda Vista Road, Suite B, in San Diego's Linda Vista community. For more information, visit dichanthaifood.com.
