San Diego's four-year-old Bivouac Ciderworks is expanding big in North Park with the opening of Bivouac Adventure Lodge, an incoming bar, general store and retail shop set to unveil in 2023.
Bivouac Ciderworks was first opened in 2018 by longtime friends, cider-enthusiast Matthew Austin & attorney Lara Worm. The 2,500 square-foot cider brewery & restaurant was inspired by"the minimalist explorer and the decadent foodie: rugged meets refined." The term "Bivouac" translates to "a temporary camp without tents".The Bivouac team has taken over two adjacent units, which previously housed a dance studio. The additional 5,733 square-feet of space will be transformed to become the Bivouac Adventure Lodge, which will be used as an additional production facility, a members-only private tasting club, a new cider bar, and a general store and retail shop selling various goods ranging from camping essentials and outdoor gear to build-your-own charcuterie boards.
Bivouac Adventure Lodge is anticipated to open by fall 2023 at 3982 30th Street in San Diego's North Park. For more information, visit bivouaccider.com.
