Arizona-Based Postino WineCafé To Open Two San Diego Locations

January 19, 2023

Known for its extensive wine list and bruschetta boards, Arizona-based Postino WineCafé is in the process of opening two locations in San Diego.

Drawing its name from the Italian word for postman, Postino WineCafé first opened in a historic 1940s-era post office in Phoenix, AZ in 2001. Founders Lauren Bailey and Craig DeMarco aimed to offer a hyper-localized, community-driven dining experience and the company now has over 20 locations dotted around Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, and the first California branch opened in Irvine just last year. As part of a nationwide expansion, Postino WineCafé is launching two branches in San Diego County, one on the base floor of new mixed-use building 2100 Kettner in Little Italy and the other within One Paseo in Del Mar.

The look for each Postino location is unique to the area, drawing inspiration from the community. The menu includes an eclectic array of shareable snacks, soups, salads, paninis, a dozen different types of bruschetta, charcuterie & bruschetta boards, and a selection of desserts, as well as a curated wine list, craft beer, and a host of non-alcoholic beverage options. On the weekend, the restaurant offers a brunch menu with breakfast toasts, bowls, and morning-focused entrees.

Postino WineCafé will debut San Diego locations later this year at 2100 Kettner Boulevard in Little Italy and 3275 Del Mar Heights Road within One Paseo. For more information, visit postinowinecafe.com.
