Opening later this week in the space that last housed Supernatural Sandwiches in San Diego's Little Italy is Bun & Patti, a fine-casual, elevated burger concept.
From husband-and-wife partners Elion & Amy Prodani, who recently relocated to San Diego from Las Vegas, Bun & Patti is a new fast-casual gourmet burger restaurant opening soon in the space that last housed Supernatural Sandwiches in San Diego's Little Italy. Inspired by Elion's nearly two decades managing fine dining restaurants in New York and Las Vegas, including most recently overseeing the signature SW Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas, Bun & Patti will offer fine dining features inspired by a classic French bistro but with an affordable edginess of a New York City street burger spot.
Bun & Patti will offer a menu centered around signature "Yummy ‘n Sexy Craft Burgers" made with 1/3 pound patties designed by Executive Chef Shawn Lamar. Expect a variety of options, from vegan to a dry-aged beef patty from a single farm in north California. There will also be a variety of beer, wine and milkshakes, as well as chicken sandwiches, salads, wings, and side dishes like fries and onion rings.
Highlights from Bun & Patti's launch menu include the Notorious B&P with two all natural beef patties, lettuce, tomato, sauteed onion, cheddar cheese and secret sauce on a toasted brioche bun; the Smoke Show with a Flannery Farm 14-day dry-aged beef patty, lettuce, tomato, white cheddar cheese, baker's bacon and truffle aioli on a salt and pepper brioche bun, served under a smoke-filled glass cloche; and the Taste of the South with fried Mary's free-range chicken, house made cabbage slaw, pickles and chipotle aioli on a pretzel bun.
Bun & Patti is currently taking reservation for its soft opening, which is beginning on March 11, at 2171 Kettner Boulevard in San Diego's Little Italy. For more information, visit bunandpatti.com.
