Corner Office Pizza & Craft Bar will bring a variety of pizza styles and cocktails served in coffee cups to San Diego's Sorrento Valley when it opens later this year.
From owners Harold Wierenga and Adam Schell, who are behind two Cruisers Pizza locations in California's Orange County, Corner Office Pizza & Craft Bar is expected to open in late summer in the space that last housed a Jamba Juice. The incoming restaurant is a center point of a revitalized retail area dubbed Mercato @Sorrento, which is adjacent to several corporate office buildings at Scranton Road and Mira Mesa Boulevard.
With a name inspired by the surrounding corporate offices, Corner Office will offer an elevated cocktail experience aimed to appeal to employees on lunch break and an after work happy hour crowd. The restaurant will offer a central, standalone square bar that is open air on all four sides with televisions surrounding the space. The Mercato at Sorrento Valley, where Corner Office is sited, will features a large shared outdoor patio with nearly 300 additional seats.
The menu will be centered around several varieties of pizza, including hand tossed, Chicago tavern style, Detroit rectangular with crispy cheese crust, and individual flatbreads. There will also be salads, wings, and mac 'n cheese. From the bars, expect a variety of beer, wine, non alcoholic beverages and cocktails served in coffee cops, inspired by pandemic times when most people worked from home and only met through Zoom.
Corner Office Pizza & Craft Bar is anticipated to open on August 1 at 9450 Scranton Road. Suite #116, in San Diego's Sorrento Mesa. For more information, follow Corner Office on Instagram.
