The first Southern California location of Sacramento-based Fish & Things Poke Bar will open as early as this summer just a stone throw from the ocean in San Diego's Pacific Beach neighborhood.
Husband and wife Nam Huynh and Be Ngo opened the first Fish & Things Poke Bar in the Sacramento suburb of Elk Grove in 2017. The restaurant concept began franchising recently and opened a branch in San Jose, CA, this past March.
The most southerly outpost of Fish & Things Poke Bar is expected to open this summer in San Diego's Pacific beach in the space that last housed a short-lived location of Chicago-based Aloha Poke, which shuttered in summer 2018 after less than two months in business after it was exposed that the company was sending cease-and-desist letters to longtime Hawaiian poke eateries. At Fish & Things, expect a menu of signature and build-your-own poke bowls, sushi rolls, fish burgers, poke tacos and other seafood specialties.
Fish & Things Poke Bar is anticipated to open as early as this July at 740 Hornblend Street, Suite 101, in San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, visit fishnthings.net.
