San Diego's 16-year-old, award-winning New English Brewing Company is working on a new location set to open in Mira Mesa, which will also house an eatery from Hawaiian Fresh Seafood.
Founded in San Diego's historic Mission Brewery Plaza in 2007 by UK-native, mechanical engineer and brewmaster Simon Lacey, New English Brewing aimed to fill the gap in the market for English Style Ales. In 2011, the company relocated from Middletown to a 2,500 square-foot space in Sorrento Valley. In 2020, New English Brewing's landlord added an enormous outdoor public space with a beer garden to the Sorrento Valley brewery. Over the course of their nearly two decades in operation, New English has won nearly 50 awards, including Great American Beer Fest and World Beer Cup honors.New English Brewing has now signed on to take over a space within an industrial park in San Diego's Mira Mesa. The new tasting room will house an onsite takeout counter and fish market from seafood wholesaler, Hawaiian Fresh Seafood, who operates a poke eatery in Liberty Station and a roving food truck. Expect a menu featuring a variety of fresh-made poke, as well as dishes like a fish & chips made using New English beer.
New English Brewing Company and Hawaiian Fresh Seafood's new locations will sit at 6835 Flanders Drive, Suite 200, in San Diego's Mira Mesa. For more information, visit newenglishbrewing.com and hawaiianfreshseafood.com.
