Opening later this month in San Diego's Normal Heights is Young Cluck, an all-day comfort food restaurant specializing in Southern-inspired breakfast and fried chicken.
From Le Cordon Bleu culinary school-trained chef Pete Servold and his wife Sarah, Young Cluck is opening this June in the space that last housed Bowl Bar in Normal Heights, where Pete and Sarah have lived for nearly a decade. The Servolds also operate Pete's Real Food, a San Diego-based meal prep service that sends ready-to-serve meals nationwide and was previously named "Best Paleo Meal Delivery Services of 2023" by People Magazine.
At Young Cluck, expect a Southern soul food menu with items like chicken & waffles topped with caramel and maple syrup, maple-brined fried chicken, cheesy grit bowls, a NYC-style breakfast sandwich, and a grilled chicken Banh mi sandwich with Hoisin pork butter. The restaurant will also serve Dark Horse coffee and other soft drinks.
