Taking over the quaint space previously occupied by Rhythm's Chicken & Waffles in San Diego's Pacific Beach is Yum Zab, a family-run fried chicken and poke bowl eatery set to open soon.
From husband and wife Klin and Ai Sritong, who boast a history of operating Thai restaurants and dessert shops, Yum Zab will be a fast-casual eatery opening in the heart of Pacific Beach. The Sritongs have taken over the unit that last housed Rhythm's Chicken & Waffles, which closed this past March and has since rebranded to Mom's Chicken & Waffles and opened within U-31 Cocktail Lounge in North Park.
Yum Zab will serve a menu of Southern Thai-inspired dishes like yum salads, Korean fried chicken, build-your-own rice bowls, and fresh cut poke. There will also be a selection of soft drinks and limited outdoor seating.
Yum Zab is anticipated to open in late August at 1136 Garnet Avenue in San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, follow Yum Zab on Instagram.
