Enlitenment Restaurant & Nightlife Destination Bringing Zen To San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter

September 15, 2023

Opening later this year in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter is Enlitenment, a zen-inspired Asian fusion restaurant and nightlife destination offering boozy boba teas.

After traveling all over Asia, German national Carmen Lindinger absolutely fell in love with the culture and food. The first time restaurant recently took over the the prime Gaslamp Quarter space that last housed Urban Bar and Grill/Inka's to open Enlitenment.

Enlitenment will be a zen-inspired restaurant, day club and nightlife destination designed with a mixture of modern minimalism and traditional Asian elements. The space will house an indoor zen garden with a swing, as well as traditional sunken tables under white lanterns and a front patio with lounge seating and high tables.

From Enlitenment's kitchen, expect an Asian fusion menu with items like bao bun tacos, grilled chicken satay sandwich, and bulgogi marinated steak, as well as bar food favorites with a modern Asian twist.
The bar aims to be a nightlife hotspot and will offer a variety of inventive craft cocktails like the Yin Yang coconut almond martini, Old Fashioned with yuzu foam, matcha pina colada, as well as boozy boba teas. After opening, the space will also eventually launch an onsite, basement speakeasy component.

Enlitenment  is anticipated to open by late 2023/early 2024 at 827 Fifth Avenue in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter. For more information, follow Enlitenment on Instagram
