Los Angeles-based fast-casual chain The Stand is ready to bring "American Classics Redefined" to America's Finest City with the opening of the company's first San Diego location.
Founded by Murray Wishengrad in Encino, CA, in 2003, The Stand now has over a dozen locations dotted around Southern California with one sited in Texas. The restaurants offer a menu of customizable American fare with a twist. The company recently purchased Grub Burger Bar's Southern California locations, which included the branch within Carmel Mountain Ranch Home Center in San Diego's Carmel Mountain Ranch.
The first San Diego location of The Stand will open this week. Like other branches expect a broad menu of made-to-order options like burgers, sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, wraps, fries, and other sides, as well as craft beer, wine, milkshakes and floats. Expect items like the French Onion Soup Burger with a double parmesan-crusted bun, gruyere cheese, red wine onions, and crispy onion strings served with a side of French onion au jus; and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese with double parmesan crusted sourdough, braised beef short rip, cheddar cheese, bacon tomato jam, crispy onion strings and hickory sauce.
The Stand will open on Friday, September 15, at 12045 Carmel Mountain Road, Suite 303, in San Diego's Carmel Mountain Ranch. For more information, visit thestand.com and check out the menu below.
