Bolt Brewery Unveils New Bar & Restaurant In San Diego's Old Town
The husband-and-wife team behind East County-based Bolt Brewery has opened a new brewpub in the space that last housed Hungry's Kitchen & Tap in San Diego's Old Town.
La Mesa residents Clint & Molly Stromberg brought Bolt Brewery to their East County San Diego neighborhood in 2014 and expanded with a tasting room and restaurant in Little Italy that opened in summer 2015. In summer 2019, the Strombergs opened Bolt Brewery & Spirits in the La Mesa space that housed Mr. G's Tavern for seven decades, but that location shuttered in 2020 at the onset of the pandemic.
The newest Bolt Brewery outpost has unveiled in the space that housed Hungry's Kitchen & Tap (previously O'Hungry's) in the heart of San Diego's historic Old Town neighborhood. The space offers Mexican-inspired decor, televisions, a jukebox, and a menu of appetizers, salads, loaded fries, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and other San Diego-style Mexican dishes. There are also nearly a dozen taps with Bolt's signature craft beer options like the OG IPA, Dan Stout, Citrasaurus, and Love Canoe Lager.
Bolt Brewery is anticipated to open as early as this summer at 2547 San Diego Avenue in Old Town. For more information, visit boltbrewery.com.
