The former executive chef of San Diego's beloved Le Parfait Paris is opening his own French bakery & café in Pacific Beach.
Clément Le Déoré grew up in France, began baking at 15 years old, and cooked around the world for a decade until settling in San Diego. Before starting his own wholesake bakery, Desserts by Clément, he was the executive chef of Le Parfait Paris, which has several locations around San Diego. Clément was at one time chosen to appear on The Great American Baking Show but never made it due to the onset of the global pandemic. He is a finalist on the most recent season of Food Network's Spring Baking Championship.
Le Déoré has taken over the space previously occupied by Freshii in San Diego's Pacific Beach to launch a standalone location of Desserts by Clément bakery. Expect a French café-style vibe with a menu of coffee and espresso drinks, crepes and a bakery case filled with desserts, macarons, cakes, croissants, and other pastries. The business is also applying for a beer and wine license.
Desserts by Clément is anticipated to open by early-to-mid December at 1380 Garnet Avenue, Suite E, in San Diego's Pacific Beach. For more information, visit dessertsbyclement.com.
