Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl was in town this week and was filmed having drinks at a San Diego hotspot.
On Wednesday, October 25th, Dave Grohl, the renowned frontman of Foo Fighters and former drummer of Nirvana, made an appearance in San Diego, and he was captured on camera enjoying himself at the original OB Noodle House in Ocean Beach. In a video shared on the restaurant's social media, Grohl was seen partaking in a drink with a group of individuals, including Luigi Agostini, the owner of Pizzeria Luigi. The purpose of Grohl's visit to San Diego remains a mystery, as he primarily resides in his impressive 7,000-square-foot mansion located in the exclusive Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. Speculation suggests that he might have been in town to celebrate the recent wedding of Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of the late Kurt Cobain, who resides in Point Loma. This past Saturday, Frances Bean tied the knot with Riley Hawk, the son of skateboarding legend and San Diego resident Tony Hawk, in a ceremony officiated by none other than R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe.
The Foo Fighters are next scheduled to perform in San Diego on August 7, 2024, at what is expected to be a sold-out show at Petco Park. The last time the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers were in San Diego was in 2019, as part of a private concert at Petco Park for Silicon Valley-based Cisco's annual convention. During the 2019 concert, Dave Grohl gave a shout out to Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, which was started by OB Noodle House founder Steven Yeng. It is rumored Grohl has some ownership interest in the Skrewball Whiskey company, which had a majority stake acquired by French spirits conglomerate Pernod Ricard earlier this year.
The question remains, was Dave Grohl doing shots of OB Noodle House's famed peanut butter whiskey?
