After less than two years in business, Kookslams Hard Seltzer is ending its run in San Diego's North County, but the beverage brand is going out with a bang and hosting a Halloween-themed grand closing party.
Building off the success of his popular Instagram channel Kookslams, which has more than 2.1 million followers, Tyler Branch teamed up with brothers Scott and Luke Becklund to launch Kookslams Hard Seltzer in early 2021. The craft beverage startup began by selling its hard seltzer online and via local delivery, but they unveiled their first tasting room in San Diego's North County city of Vista in late 2021.
Kookslams recently sold its media company and all of the rights to it. Because of that, they sold the brewery rather than rebranding. To commemorate its closure, Kookslams Hard Seltzer, which recently changed its name to Shred Hard Seltzer Brewery due to the sale, will host a Grand Closing Party at its "shredquarters" on Saturday, October 28. The Halloween-themed event will have seltzer cocktails, live music, food by Mariscos El Barbas, beer pong, corn hole, and a costume contest.
