A longtime San Diego pop-up pizzeria concept, Criscito Pizza is nearly ready to unveil its first brick-and-mortar restaurant.
New Jersey native Philip Brynildsen has been serving up wood-fired, Neapolitan-style pizzas from his roving pop-up since 2013. Earlier this year, Brynildsen signed a lease for a 1,200 square-foot space with a 1,500 square foot patio within Torrey Gardens luxury apartment complex in San Diego's Torrey Hills/Carmel Valley area for the opening of Criscito Pizza's first brick-and-mortar location.
Grand opening later this month, Criscito Pizza will serve a menu Neapolitan pizza made in a high temp electric oven with long-fermented organic pizza dough and locally-sourced ingredients. The restaurant will also offer New York style thin crust pizza, as well as salads, appetizers, an array of gelato, and beer & wine.
Criscito Pizza will grand open on October 25 at 10675 Calle Mar De Mariposa in San Diego's Carmel Valley area. For more information, visit criscitopizza.com.
