With two locations already open in San Diego's South Bay, Birrieria y Menuderia Guadalajara will soon bring authentic Mexican flavors to central San Diego.
Founded by Marcos Cardenas and family on Broadway in Chula Vista in 2015, Birrieria y Menuderia Guadalajara quickly had hungry patrons lining up for the restaurant's Guadalajara-style birria made using the founder's grandmother's recipes. Due to popularity, a second outpost was launched in Otay earlier this year and a central San Diego branch will unveil this fall.
A new location of Birrieria y Menuderia Guadalajara will open later this month in the space that last housed International Cuisine off University Avenue in San Diego's City Heights. Like the South Bay branches, expect a menu of charred goat birria de chivo, birria-topped bone marrow, beef birria de res, pozole and menudo soups, tacos, quesadillas and more. There will also be a selection of beer, Micheladas, and Mexican sodas.
Birrieria y Menuderia Guadalajara will grand open on October 27 at 4444 University Avenue, Suite A, in San Diego's City Heights neighborhood. For more information, follow Birriería Y Menuderia Guadalajara on Instagram.
