Live Nation CEO & Electric Daisy Carnival Founder Part Of New Ownership Team At Downtown San Diego's Bloom Nightclub

December 17, 2023

Downtown San Diego's year-old Bloom Nightclub has been taken over by a new ownership group that includes the CEO of LiveNation and the founder of Electric Daisy Carnival.

In 2022, Dr. Jack Wasserman rebranded the space previously named Bassmnt within the 1889-era Lawyer's Block building in downtown San Diego and reopened it as Bloom nightclub. Last week, Dr. Wasserman sold the business to City In Motion LLC.

City In Motion is a collective of club & EDM entertainment professionals that include members from Insomniac Entertainment, the company behind such music festivals as Electric Daisy Carnival, Nocturnal Wonderland and Beyond Wonderland. In addition to Insomnia founder & CEO Pasquale Rotella & Senior Executive Adi McAbian, the management team behind Bloom Night Club includes Michael Rapino, a Canadian-American business executive and the Chief Executive Officer and President of Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. Rotella and McAbian are also part of the ownership team of NOVA nightclub in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter.

Bloom Nightclub will continue operating as in into the new year. Although the space may take time off in the near future for interior upgrades, those details are still being determined. Expect the nightlife venue to begin hosting bigger named DJs and live talent now that they have powerful players in the entertainment industry running the show.

Bloom Nightclub is located at 919 Fourth Avenue in downtown San Diego. For more information, visit bloomdtsd.com.
