Los Angeles-based Brewjeria craft brewing company is opening a tasting room and restaurant in San Diego's South Bay.
"Guess what?! We’re opening a second location in Chula Vista!!!", wrote Brewjeria on its Instagram page.
"It’s been a whirlwind and it’s still not over…but we hope to keep growing Brewjeria Company in Southern CA. We will be updating our progress as we move forward, but we’ll start taking over some taps at the current location very soon and hope to transition to Brewjeria Taproom & Kitchen by mid-year. Our family is originally from San Diego, so while it was a tough decision to open a second location far from Pico Rivera, we also thought it was a great opportunity to expand Brewjeria in familiar territory."
After a decade of home brewing, Agustin Ruelas founded Brewjeria Company in the Pico Rivera area of East Los Angeles in 2020. Originally from San Diego, Ruelas quickly looked into the Chula Vista space that currently housed El Cruce + 241 restaurant when it was listed for sale late last year.
Brewjeria Company will take over the El Cruce unit on Third Avenue in Chula Vista later this month. In April, he hopes to unveil Brewjeria Taproom and Kitchen, offering a menu of shareable dishes, tacos and entrees, as well as wine and a tap list featuring Brewjeria craft brews and guest beers.
Brewjeria Taproom & Kitchen aims to open this spring at 241 Third Avenue in downtown Chula Vista. For more information, visit brewjeriacompany.com.
