Originally launched in 2014 in Tijuana as La Corriente Cevichería + Nais, the upscale mariscos concept now has branches in Mexicali, Monterrey, Mazatlan and Mexico City. Last year, Grupo La Correiente took over the quaint space on Pearl Street in La Jolla that previously housed Las Morelianas for three years for the opening of the company's first United States restaurant.
La Corriente Cocina del Pacifico offers an elegant ambiance within its 50-seat restaurant, complimented by a menu featuring an array of Mexican seafood dishes. Dishes will include ceviches, aguachiles, tacos, fried seafood, oysters, and much more, as well as Mexican-inspired Bloody Marys and micheladas.
