San Diego-based natural grocery chain Barons Market is opening a new location in the North County community of Carlsbad.
Joe Shemirani founded the first Barons Market in Point Loma in 1993 and the family owned grocery store has grown to nine locations around San Diego and Southern California. Barons Market has carved a niche for itself by offering a unique shopping experience that combines the charm of a neighborhood market with the variety of a gourmet food destination. The 10th location of Barons Market will open within Roosevelt Center in Carlsbad Village. In addition to a full grocery, the new store will offer a fresh salad bar, hot soup counter, unique antipasto station, fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, premium meats, grab-and-go meals, and specialty items sourced from local producers and trusted suppliers. The Carlsbad branch will also sell beer, wine and liquor.
Barons Market isn't just a place to shop, it's also a hub for community engagement. The market frequently hosts events, tastings, and cooking demonstrations that bring people together to celebrate food and foster connections. Whether it's a wine tasting night or a local vendor showcase, there's frequently something exciting happening at Barons.
Barons Market is expected to open by year's end at 2800 Roosevelt Street in San Diego's North County community of Carlsbad Village. For more information, visit baronsmarket.com.
