The founder of San Diego's Grind & Prosper Hospitality (Miss B's Coconut Club, Louisiana Purchase, Coco Maya) is teaming up with his corporate chef for the opening of a new globally-influenced bar & restaurant dubbed Austin NoLa by Chef Quinnton Austin in San Diego's North Park.
Local restaurateur Peter Cich, who also has ownership interests in PB Shore Club and is the founder of Grind & Prosper Hospitality, launched island inspired Miss B’s Coconut Club in early 2016 on the corner of Santa Clara Court and Mission Boulevard in Mission Beach. Grind & Prosper has since opened the 8,000 square-foot dining, drinking & entertainment destination Park 101 in downtown Carlsbad, Cajun-style Louisiana Purchase bar & restaurant in North Park, Coco Maya Caribbean restaurant in Little Italy and a pair of dining concepts within the Brick boutique hotel in San Diego's North County city of Oceanside.
Reportedly named Austin NoLa, this upcoming dining venue will blend global cuisine with Chef Austin’s unique New Orleans style with a menu featuring a variety of dishes from artisan pizzas to sophisticated entrées, all designed for sharing and made from high-quality, sustainable ingredients. The restaurant's cocktail bar will be managed by expert mixologist Robert McShea, who will design a menu with riffs on new age classics and straightforward, clean cocktails.
